The afternoon of November 2, 1972, in the midst of Hugo Banzer's military dictatorship, was just beginning. The inhabitants of the Island of Coati (Moon) of Lake Titicaca had just returned from the cemetery after saying goodbye to the souls of their dead relatives. In the morning they had received in their homes the prisoners of the prison built on their island during the Chaco War (1932-1935) by the Paraguayan prisons. The prisoners prayed for the deceased of the coateños in exchange for milk and other food.
