It is recommended to wear light clothes for the day and warm clothes for the night, sunglasses, a sun hat and comfortable walking shoes; first aid kit, sunscreen and medication for altitude sickness.

There are companies that offer tours to the Isla de la Luna, generally as part of a package that includes visits to other sites, such as the Isla del Sol or the floating islands. The visit to the Island of the Moon lasts approximately one hour on the Island of the Moon.
