Isla de la Luna or Isla Koati is located fifteen minutes by boat from Isla del Sol. It is a small and peaceful place of around 105 hectares. It was a sacred territory for the pre-Hispanic cultures of the place, a cult center for Mama Killa (Quechua name for the Moon), wife of Inti (the Sun).

Attractions and activities:

Inakuyu, the Temple of the Moon

The most important attraction of this place is the Inakullu, or Temple of the Moon. The construction has 35 rooms and carved doors. Next to the façade there is an esplanade where ceremonies such as the Cuya Raymi Killa were held, which coincided with the Spring equinox.
